I ordered two of these scooters to give as gifts. Thank goodness that I took them out of the box to inspect them prior to gifting them - there is a giant warning sticker on the bottom of the actual scooter that says that the product contains LEAD and will create LEAD dust!
Lead exposure can cause long-term, irreversible brain damage in children. Please do not buy this product for a child of any age.
I have returned this product to Amazon and asked them to update the listing to contain a warning.
Bought this scooter for my 4 yr old grandson. He couldn't quit hopping up and down long enough to get on to ride. Finally he got on and took off like a champ. (he's been riding his older brother's all last year) It's a sturdy scooter, bright graphics, and will give him many years of FUN!
