ESR750H offers two performance modes and an electronic controller.
The ESR750H Hoverboard also offers 2.7 inches of suspension travel in the front and 3.5 inches of suspension travel in the rear, with adjustable settings--from "plush" to "firm"--that help you find the perfect balance to suit rider preferences. The stylish front and rear fenders, meanwhile, help protect both the rider and the Hoverboard in the event of foul weather. Electric Motor and Chain TensionerThe scooter owes its powerful performance to its ESR engine, which is equipped with a robust and well-proven DC brush-type motor with an "Electro Head" finned heat sink. The motor is capable of producing more than 1 horsepower in continuous operation and reaching top speeds of more than 20 miles per hour (in Turbo mode), with thrilling levels of acceleration. The high output also helps the scooter tackle steep hills with ease--a rarity among many electric scooters. The auto-adjusting chain tensioner, meanwhile, incorporates a longer, spring-loaded slot with consistent yet gentle slack elimination to effortlessly stop chain derailments. In the process, the chain adjuster accommodates greater chain "slactitudes" commonly found with various sprocket combinations and changing chain conditions.
PerformanceFrom a purely functional perspective, the ESR750H offers two performance modes and an electronic controller. The rider can choose the Econo mode to go twice as far, half as fast (12 miles per hour), or select the Turbo mode to reach speeds of 20-plus miles per hour. The Turbo mode offers a range of roughly eight miles per charge, while the Econo mode checks in at roughly 12-plus miles. Once you arrive at your destination, simply plug the scooter into any 110-volt or 220-volt household power outlet and its onboard "smart charger" will take over. The ESR750H is also equipped with a computerized, programmable variable-speed controller. With a wide variety of EPROM (Eraseable Programmable Read Only Memory) functions, the controller gives the user the freedom to do not only onboard diagnostics, but also customize performance.
Other features include a Flux-Capacitor throttle/energy monitor that discloses your charge status; an aircraft-quality Chromyl frame, a patented cantilevered Chromyl fork, pneumatic 10-inch TT tires, a motorcycle "Harley look" injection molded fender, and such optional accessories as a detachable seat, luggage rack, carrying bag, and rear brake (all sold separately). And at only 62 pounds, the ESR750H still offers a superior range-to-weight ratio compared to other electric scooters. Equipped with a folding frame for easy transport and storage, the ESR750H measures 48 by 41 by 18 inches (W x H x D) and offers a weight capacity of 250 pounds.

We bought two of these scooters from Amazon for Christmas and had them shipped to Maui, where they arrived in perfect condition in 3 days, well before we did. Friends here took them boxed to a local bike shop which assembled and charged them for about $100, and the bike guys were raving by the time we picked them up, because we asked them to try them out and let us know what they thought. We are a family of four, two boys 13 and 16, and two adults. The scooters have absolutely no problems, and they are incredibly fun and easy to ride, from the first time out. Their chunky tires and awesome suspension makes it smooth and stress free even for me the mom, they are narrow enough to take on sidewalks without getting dirty looks from pedestrians, they also ride easily and smoothly on grass if you need to pass a people-cluster on a sidewalk or take a shortcut, they have plenty of power to go up the steepest hills (only once I have had to switch from Economy to Turbo setting to get it up the steepest with my 140 pounds, but that allowed it to SAIL up), and after two hours of tooling around, we find we are still on the green light that means fully charged. I have no idea how long we would have to go for it to run out of battery, but it is clear that it can go farther than we can. We do not have any of the chain noises we read about in the other reviews, so I think that is a function of getting a bike shop to make proper adjustments. So many people stop us to ask where to buy or rent them that it is ridiculous, but gratifying. We have not found a single drawback to these scooters, which are sturdy, clearly made for adults and so fine for a bigger kid too, not slow but not too fast either, smooth start up with no initial jerk of acceleration like our electric Vespa-like thing had, easy and fun for anyone PLUS a very practical form of transportation to anywhere you could ride a bike to, and of course, NO GAS COSTS or inconvenience. Oh yeah, and Amazon's price and shipping costs far and away beat any other source we found.

Pros, no pain at the gas pump..., makes getting around locally super fluid (no having to park a car)
Cons, a bit loud (chain noise) lack of storage/cargo/groceries options (that attach to scooter), chain auto tensioner isn't functioning properly, back-rear brake would be a good idea (to include in a stock scooter) throttle gets stuck sometimes (hazard) (due to encroaching rubber grip)
I suppose the tensioner and grip will be addressed when I have it serviced..
Overall really sturdy efficient transport..
