Sleek and stylish, the X-Treme Scooters Elite Electric Bicycle provides a fun transport option. Equipped with four 20-AMP batteries and brushless rear 600 watt hub motor, the Elite Electric Bicycle can travel for up to 25 miles per charge and goes 20 miles per hour, making it great for gas-free commuting. Pedals come included but do not need to be installed, and because the Elite is classified as a power-assisted bicycle, you do not need a driver's license to ride the bike on the street. The electric bicycle does not have to be registered with the DMV, and if you follow the bicycle laws, you should be able to ride this bike any place bicycles are allowed to operate (Per Federal Electric Bicycle Law H.R. 727).
The Elite Electric Bicycle's large 600-watt brushless rear hub motor is installed in the center of the rear wheel and is powered by four large high-power batteries. The batteries will last for three years or more and can be re-charged more than 500 times. The electric bicycle will travel for 20 to 25 miles on a single charge and travels at up to 20 miles per hour.
The Elite Electric Bicycle is street ready with a solid, front and rear braking system, a headlight, taillight, brake light, blinkers, and electric horn for maximum safety and visibility. The bike is also equipped with a speedometer and battery indicator. Front and rear shock absorbing as well as a spring-loaded seat make for a comfortable ride even on uneven surfaces, and the bike can be ridden by up to two people. Sixteen by 2.5 inch tires on durable aluminum wheels provide stability and traction for road riding. The bike motor starts a key and a variable speed control twist throttle. The bike is also equipped with a kickstand, tool kit, cargo rack, and multiple storage areas: a large area below the seat, a large trunk, and a small area near the key.
The Elite Electric Bicycle features the most powerful battery set up available from X-Treme Scooters. The bike is equipped with four 12 volt, 20 AMP batteries with a life of three or more years. The bike runs for 20 to 25 miles per charge and can still be pedal operated when out of battery power. A Smart Charger is included with the bike.

Customer Reviews
I bought this for my 3 mile commute. This was a terrific solution, but took some effort to make it ready for the road.
The quality that went into building the scooter was less than optimal. A lot of the bolts were not tight, the pedals holes did not align with the post the pedals attach to and the gear on the rear wheel was not screwed onto the wheel. These were all items I easily corrected and I was off on my ride. It was a nice ride, the shocks actually work. Turn signals and lights work, but I keep hitting the horn button with my knee! Hehehe. The speedometer does not measure the speed, but rather calculates it and does that poorly. The only real disappointment was with the power of the engine, it took a really long time to get up to speed and this can be an issue in traffic, I can't get out of the way of vehicles especially starting up at intersections. The simple solution for me was to add a 5th battery. After investing $75 for a battery and $75 for a bigger charger, I mounting the new battery under the seat and now it has good pick-up and has a faster top speed. The range is good, I charge every 2 or 3 days and the charger stores easily in under the seat.
This is not a perfect product out of the box, but I couldn't live without it now. My new relaxation technique is a cross-town ride on Saturday afternoons on my scooter.
We've had our XB-600 for three years, and my wife and I use it a lot for running errands in town and short daily work commutes, up to three and a half miles each way. While cheaply made, it has been very reliable. Better bikes start at around $3,000, but this one does what we want. With a top speed of around 20 mph (slower on hills), keep to the right as if you are a bicycle. Except for the low top speed, it has the features of a larger bike. Check local laws regarding road use, registration, license, etc. It's a good, cheap bike for intown riding, mostly level ground with moderate hills, and relatively short distances. Definitely NOT an open-road bike.
